how to set up a small scale freshwater prawn farm series

dear reader, i will try to post step by step technique of how to set up a profitable small scale freshwater prawn farm or we called here udang galah, in series starting soon. So if any queries further from my post,please email me or type it on the cbox at the right hand side of this blog. please also note that the guides are meant for tropical climate, but i will compare from time to time with temperate climate grower technique.

  1. Hi Elmee, Looking forward to your postings on Udand GAlah Farming. Me and my wife are just startingto research the potential for this type of operation in Sabah. So far the Fisheries Dept has been very helpful and positive and we hope to have a decision and business plan up in a couple of months for now....

    Will post some of my research findings and questions here and hopefully we can work together to get something started.

There is a 21 acres freshwater prawn farm with hatchery (i.e., 2in 1) and own dedicated TNB substation near Tapah (2nd lot from PLUS highway) up for sale or JV, company is already provided with Tax free status 100% for 10 years by the Ministry of Finance (after official assessement), anyone interested preferably with investors please called
